The National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) is a non-profit organisation that saves lives on South African waters. Sea Rescue is run by 880 highly skilled volunteers who are on standby day and night throughout the year.

The Camps Bay Community Medics consist of a small group of local volunteer paramedics who respond to emergency medical calls within their community. CBCM was started in 1997 in order to provide a fast response in case of a medical emergency. We aim to be on scene after a call within 10 minutes.

The result is that Oranjezicht Higgovale Neighbourhood Watch (OH WATCH) has been set up in consultation with the South African Police Services (SAPS) and the Cape Town Community Police Forum (CPF)
