Friday, 10th September 2010 at 12:00am | Under News.Police Divers, the Police Port of Entry, a Police helicopter, local Camps Bay Police, volunteers from Sea Rescue Bakoven, Camps Bay Watch (Camps Bay Community Neighborhood Watch) and volunteers from Clifton Surf Lifesaving are continuing with ongoing intermittent search operations in Camps Bay, in various phases, in an ongoing effort to locate the missing South Korean student who went missing on Monday while swimming at Camps Bay and who has been presumed to have drowned.
Regular shore patrols are being conducted by all services involved in the ongoing search and Police Divers are continuing to conduct scuba-dive searches of the area.
A police helicopter has also been deployed at various intervals to assist in the search and may continue to be dispatched to assist depending on the progress made by the search parties.
Efforts to support and comfort the family of the missing teenager continues from all services involved including support from the South African Department of International Relations and Co-operation, the South Korean Embassy and the LAL Language School.
The search intensity varies around certain factors such as tide changes, visibility, sea conditions and the priority of other incidents.
